How to install CRANEbee with a multi-user-licence

Please read the following description carefully. It contains many hints for the successful installation of a multi-user-license. If you have any questions or are stuck, please feel free to contact us at support@cranimax.com. We will be happy to help.

Requirements:
  1. Administrator permissions (even temporary) to install the software.
  2. A stable internet connection to activate/synchronize the license and download the required crane packages.
  3. A shared network folder to which every CRANEbee user has access. For folder sharing we recommend the SMB share protocol. The required disk space is <5MB.
  4. Each CRANEbee user needs mandatory read, write and modify permissions on the shared folder.
Note:
The software is installed on the respective end devices. The size of the installation on the end device depends on the contents of your licence. One license file is stored on the server/network folder (<5MB). Using a cloud-based file system (e.g. SharePoint, OneDrive, Google Drive, etc.) to store the license is not possible.

Procedure:
  1. Download the installation file here.
  2. Start the installation routine with a double click. This will install an administration tool (beeAdmin).
  3. Navigate through the installation application, read and confirm the license agreement and privacy policy.
  4. After you have installed beeAdmin, close the installation window with "Finish".
  5. A new window opens. Here you enter the path of the previously shared network folder. The input is mandatory in UNC format.


    Example:
    Incorrect: W:\Licensing\CRANIMAX\CRANEbee
    Correct: \\dataserver\Licensing\CRANIMAX\CRANEbee

  6. Then you will be prompted to activate the license during the first installation. All further installations referring to the same license path will skip this step.
  7. After successful activation the download of the software files starts automatically. This may take some time to complete.
Note:
It is advised to always use the most up-to-date installer. You can get it from the link above.

If the download finishes unusually quick, there may be a problem with the connection to our download server. In this case please contact us.
